I’ve received messages from a few of you considering leaving your company since growth is stagnant. In this article, I’ll go over market data I paid over $100 for from Crunchbase Pro and LinkedIn Premium along with my thoughts on finding a new company in the layoff era.
BuiltinSF is based in SF Bay Area Jobs, but there are other jobs based in other location and it's pretty good for finding high-growth startups and sometimes public companies
Startup.jobs is good for finding startups all around (high growth or not), it's more of a 'general' job posting site.
Hello! Like you were, I'm also an engineer at Amazon. I feel like my career growth has been stalling, so I'm also considering leaving after roughly 1 year. Do you have any advice for finding jobs when you have roughly 1 year of experience? Should you aim for new grad jobs or junior engineer jobs (which typically ask for 2-3 years of experience)?
When I left with around ~8months of experience, all big tech considered me junior. When I was hired at Meta, I even received new grad swag.
I did get a few Mid-level offers from smaller companies though (e.g. Affirm, Blend, Riot).
I'd shoot as high as you can. More important than that is to position yourself on a team where you can see yourself growing to Senior (e.g. great mentorship, interesting problems, great manager)
When it comes to finding startup jobs my favorite website are:

I haven’t seen these before, thanks for sharing Ivan :)
