Try a water floss!! I've never wanted to floss but water floss is good.

I tried that before and liked it but my dentist said it wasn’t as effective

Flossing > water flossing >> not flossing

My dentist said it's better so we gotta have them 1v1 someday

Cannot overstate- whether you have chronic pain especially joints, back issues, or just tend to be a little chilly when you first get in bed- heated mattress cover. Whatever has good reviews on Amazon and fits your bed. Over mattress under sheets, even if you just warm the bed so you're not sliding into cold sheets, but the gentle warmth eases your body into sleep and brings you out of sleep into warmth instead of chill. Life changing to the point I bought one for travel as well.

Good set of knives. Makes you more likely to cut and dice healthy food and cook more often.

Personal warmth is a big area for improvement for me. After a bout of illness about 8 years ago I really started feeling the cold a lot more. I got myself a Stoov Big Hug seat warmer, and a plug-in heated poncho for the days I work from home in a very poorly insulated home office.

The Stoov isn't as good at keeping me warm as the poncho, and it was twice the price, but it's a lot less bulky and cumbersome so I'll just use that if I can. It was also really helpful when I had some twinges in my sciatic nerve a couple of months ago.

Some decent merino wool base layers would probably be a worthwhile investment at some point, but the cheap ones are doing OK for now.

Ooo interesting! I've started heating the room when I want temp control, only thing is when I'm in the bathroom I feel like I need that personal warmth because of the water evaporating feeling cold

I bet seat warmer feels nice though. I tried a heated blanket a while back in SF since I didn't have a heater and loved it

Compression boots, legs if you can swing it. If you’re a fitness person, no brainer. If you are not, just as a relation measure and a great way to circulate lymphatic fluid. You are sitting and writing anyway, put those boots on.

Ladies, an LED light mask (men, if you are not embarrassed about wanting a little rejuvenating skin treatment at home). Again, you are sitting down anyway.

Can you give an example or a brand. I don't know what compression boots are. Ive heard of compression socks. Similar?

I don’t know if links will come up to products on Substack, but I just posted an Amazon link.

Compression boots plug in and use air to fill up and empty, giving a massage to feet, ankles, calves, etc (you can buy whole leg ones). They also come heated or not.

They can be intense, but the legs Velcro, so you can loosen the tightness. You can also set light, medium, high.

Today is cyber Monday, great deals

I’d also throw in water bottles and hydration habits, feels trivial, but hydration changes energy levels noticeably.

Interesting list. Strongly agree with the bedsheets, mattress and pillows. Instead of eye masks, though, I would say blackout curtains.

True, but its still nice to know that the wealthiest among us don't need to put up with the chilling cold that one endures the seconds between exiting the shower and putting on a bathrobe.

A five stage water filter made my revolting tap water actually desirable to drink. It changed how my coffee tastes too. You can’t have good coffee or tea without good water.

Love my Manta mask!!! I’ve given it to several people as Christmas gifts and they’re generally a bit confused at first but everyone tells me they can’t sleep without it now. My favorite little daily luxuries are my Owala and bidet attachment.
